Marketing Qualifications

Time is ticking and really want to do a marketing qualification. Mainly for future investment for my career. IDM or CIM - which one???? Would love to do an E-Marketing Qualifications first then onto a Digitsl Marketing course.. Quite pricey, but then qualifications are....Something to think about in the New Year

marketing officer

The new job is going OK - currently identifying the holes in their brand - there seem to be a lot of mismatches so I am keen to get these all pulled together. Also working on wireframes for a new site design and ensuring that all elements are covered. Adwords and Google Analytics also need to be addressed. Not convinced that their internal reporting tool is accurate for webstats. We also need to address the email marketing reporting as this is certainly not very in depth.

The agency is currently a government funded body - but not for long - we need to establish a business plan and begin to be a profit based enterprise. This is why the reporting mechanisms for the website and the email marketing are so important - once we have the back end reporting in place we can then concentrate on the front end visuals for the both the email templates and the website.

naomigoldsmith.com still doing well - lots and lots to do - work coming in - cant keep up....saving for new roof .... LOL

Wow - its been too long...

We're into May 2008 - the last time I blogged was January

Yes - I love my iMac - from my initial desk head banging, tears, and copious amounts of vodka and redbull have dwindled away and now I love it - There isn't much time for play, or for housework - its all about juggling the day job, the "my business" and being a mummy...

Think its time to bite the bullet and get a cleaner - I can't keep up - the last thing you want to do when you make spare time for yourself is clean -

Well - since Jan, I have left Ebuyer to join The Regional Language Network in Sheffield as their E-Marketing Officer. Its a culture change, buts its good - there is lots to do to move the business forward from a government funded agency to a more solvent business. It can be done I am sure and am excited to be a part of the transition.

naomigoldsmith.com - well cant keep up - think I need to turn some business away - but hate doing that - The major project has launched onto a beta site - www.just4holidayrentals.com - still needs alot of work, but the shareholders where keen to get this launched. Will be working on stuff tonight for this.

Have some new stuff coming in from oneisolutions who want email marketing campaigns creating - which I have sent a visual over for them to proof - but no comeback yet - will chase tonight. Also stuff coming in from an ex-collegaue who is doing some marketing stuff for a company in Rotherham - so its busy, busy, busy....

Also need to update my site - its old - and there is new work to show - not sure I am showing the portfolio in the correct way...

Speak soon

a new year - and a new imac.........

well - what can I say - a PC girl of 12 years then I decide to convert to mac - is it the lure of the gorgeous design of Apple - or the impeccable technology - or the up and coming trend to hover around the Apple store in Meadowhall to drool over the latest mac technology with the latest fluid curves - even the assistants look cool......

I aint sure what it is that as made us convert to the mac - but i did spend the first half hour drooling over the simplicity, the design and the packaging - even my non technological brother stopped dead in his tracks when he saw it......"wheres all the wires nammie? "

I think the imac is beautiful - its quite - its simple and its cool - but my god after 12 years of PC I began to pull my hair out "what have I done" - I cant even find where to eject the CD" - plus I have CS3 to contend with - anyway - I am slowly getting to grips with the whole new concept - the question is?? - does it enhance the productivity? - does it enhance the design flow? - mmmmm - my answer to that is when I actually master art of the imac - the answers would be yes.....

Ask me in a couple of months would IO swap the imac back to the PC - lets see what the answer will be.....

Busy

Its been a busy few weeks with a string of projects currently running. DBAM Systems now have their new site launch and we have been ensuring that their tech specs are 100% before the GOLIVE date.
DBAM now have their first newsletter 95% complete with the only stumbling block being the email application - ie which one to use...DBAM had signed up with Constant Contact but this lead to a few issues when uploading the code to their servers. Most likely will go with Campaigner - but if there is someone out there reading this let me know your thought on that.
The secret project is nearing completion - we are down to the nitty gritty now with the demo site online shortly - am busy doing their content guidelines which actually I should be doing now instead of blogging.
Am also abit concerned about my portfolio presentation - I am going to add a zip file with a Powerpoint presentation included with more update to designs.
